Question 2010 Wheels on a 996TT

What would be needed to install 2010 Wheels and tires on a 996TT??

a jack, torque wrench and socket sorry couldnt resist

i'm pretty sure you dont need to do anything, there are a couple of guys on 6speed running them and they didnt add spacers or anything, they look pretty good

Tks. He is installing them today. He got them from a friend that took them off after only 20 miles... so a new set of wheels with new tires for around 1K... not bad, tires alone are more than that. I will post photos in the main thread when I see it this Saturday.

I just called him to confirm. He got them for 1.5K with tires. Taken off the car with 20 miles on them. So brand new.

He also sold a spare set of stock 996TT wheels he had for 500.00.

Not bad at all...

Aren't 2010 997tt wheels and tires the same size as 2007-2009? If so, he would need to change the rear tires to the correct size, and he would need spacers.

The new wheels look good, although it accentuates the 996TT to need a drop.

Tirerack told me that the 997tt has larger diameter tires in the rear...

Is that correct?

Wheel Enhancement mentioned if the rear tires are not changed, the differential may (will) be damaged.
