Anyone familiar with this car?
I found an 03 Turbo with 39k miles, one owner. Sticker was $130k, boxster red interior, sports seats, very clean!!!! Had the ecu flash, new upgraded clutch, new tires, 30k miles service done 6 months ago, one owner, 3m clear bra. He wants mid to high 40's and i am offering $39-$40k since there isnt any warranty and cant get CPO. I think i can get the records but i will still get the PPI
My questions:
For the over revs Type I and Type II what is the number that can be consider normal?
Does anyone from here know this car, maybe a member? NJ Plate:996TRBO
What is fair price for the PPI?
What is a fair price for the car and what would be consider a bargain?
I enclosed pics of the car
Thanks

03 for sale
You either love or hate the red. If that is what you want go for it. I am going to be selling mine soon. I have a 01 with 12,999 miles and has something like 3 years warranty left. Silver with black. I am in NC.

If it needs nothing, then I think a fair price is $44k. Maybe less because of the "unpopular" interior color (personally, I like it!).
I wouldn't be bothered w/ Type I ignitions. As far as Type II ignitions, I donno - over 2000 (a little over 5 seconds at 7000rpm)? The other thing you might want to ponder is whether the ECU flash increased the rev limit and if the ECU flash also adjusts the DME to record Type I and Type II ignitions w/ the new rev limit.
As far as PPI, I paid $500 at the dealer to do a PPI using the CPO checklist. Another person that was also interested in my car paid $120 at an indy shop. We compared notes and they were pretty identical.
Just curious - does it have a sunroof?

I would say mid 40's as well... That car at sub 40 prices would be a steal. Get an indy PPI and drive the wheels off it, I love the color combo.
'Edit, looks like it has a hardwired V1 as well. Bonus!'

Excellent point. And a rise in rev limit would bother me with how hearty and stout the M96.70 internals are... too much made of this.

Yes it does have the sunroof and is hardwired for the radar.
I was hoping the owner was a member here to give some details.
I love the interior and with silver exterior looks great!!!
Thanks for the type II over revs info

These lower priced cars could be basket cases and the price reflects that -- though usually a seller will still ask market or near market price even if car a basket case in the hopes of landing a sucker -- or they could be priced at a market.
I would imagine high miles and no warranty would probably cause a big drop off in price.
Sincerely,
Macster.

Car is mint no over revs I can guarantee that. Concourse condition, oil changes every 4,000 miles all service etc. Radar cable is for a valentine 1. That is the hard wire to the fuse box. No accidents never tracked. I know the owner it was traded in for an 05 turbo S cab. The car was sold this weekend. The car is a steal.
