Default OEM Vs original PORSCHE brake pads

Hi all,
I am just about to replace my Fr & Rr brake pads on my car.
what is the difference between OEM Vs original PORSCHE brake pads,
because the difference in price is almost twice bigger for the Original pads

? OEM is original Porsche parts - OEM; original equipment manufacturer. So what is your question?

this is what I know to be honnest
but I found in a shop offers about OEM brake pads having less than half a price comparing to original porsche brake pads.

explanation of the shop owner was that original porsche brake pads is that they come in a porsche box....

so whay pay double the price for just a box????

He is having you on. OEM is OEM and it always comes in an original Porsche box. Anything else is aftermarket.

Perhaps what he calls OEM is a pad from the same company who supplies them to Porsche to put into their Porsche box.

So it would be getting brake pads from the OEM supplier to Porsche, rather than from Porsche parts directly.

And report back if they are the same, so we can get them to - or not. .

Is there even an aftermarket source for reliable PCCB pads?

( I remember myshelf doing the same for my 964 some years ago but almost always having the squeaking promblem which was solved by usind special pads)
on my 996 C2 2001 I was using originals pads

my pads now are at my godfathers house in Sutton Surrey UK, and I will be getting them soon here in grece...aboy the 10th of Dec.

will let you know

Just to clarify-
O.E.M. does stand for original equipment manufacturer. This means they are the company that makes the part and then supplies it to Porsche.

If you buy it from Porsche , you pay for the Porsche box, name, and markup.

Example:
Brembo makes the brake calipers. buy them from Brembo = same part , less money , says Brembo on it.

Buy it from Porsche = same part , more money , says Porsche on it

You have to be a little careful online, often see adds for OEM but when you read the description it will not so clearly state "OEM replacement". Probably my bad but I thought Brembo manufactured the OEM pads also?
