Default ECU is tuned! Ultimate Motorwerks Rocks

Overview:
2003 996 Turbo
ECU Upgrade by Ultimate Motorwerks (replacing Roock ECU tune)

Well,

After a few conversations with Kevin at Ultimate Motorwerks I decided to take the plunge on his ECU upgrade. I previously had the Roock tuned ECU, but the dealer wiped it back to stock when I had the alarm replaced. I've never driven a stock Turbo until I got it back from Jim Ellis and I was NOT happy with the performance. Well today, Kevin sent over the file for me to upload using his loaner Pocket Loader and cable.

After loading it up the first time, the car wouldn't run for more than 2 seconds. Basically the same symptoms that I had when my venturi tube went bad. But I'm now thinking that the Roock tune might have gone bad or something was off because the car wouldn't start until the dealer set it back to stock.

I emailed Kevin and notified him of what was happening. Within 30 minutes he tweaked the file and VOILA. This man knows his stuff. And talk about GREAT turn around time.

There are few companies on this planet that will get a high recommendation from me as I have high standards on the service and reliability side of things, but Kevin / Ultimate Motorwerks has earned my recommendation.

Do yourself a favor. Contact him for all your Porsche needs.

Thanks Kev!

I bot Kevin's Sach's stage 2 clutch/flywheel upgrade. I highly recommend it (and him).

Do you still think the tuned ECU "rocks"?

I don't know about how it "rocks"....but I certainly wouldn't have bot all of his products if I didnt' have a high degree of confidence in his reputation for performance and product lines. He knows his stuff and obviously has a chorus of cheerleaders behind him. You don't get endorsements like this unless you consistently prove you deserve the kudos. Ten Atta-boys can be erased by one dumb-****.

Joseph, can I get a ride in your flashed car sometime?
I'm thinking about flashing mine or upgrade my turbos to something a little larger.
