Default Low Coolant Temp

I recently had a clutch installed on my '02 GT2 (they pulled the engine to do it), and ever since it has been very slow to warm up. This morning it never got above ~125 on the gauge during my 25 minute freeway commute in 50 degree ambient. The other day I actually let it sit in the driveway and warm up to almost 180, but as soon as I started driving it cooled down rapidly. Seems like classic stuck thermostat symptoms, but I know there are some electronic controls in the cooling system. Any chance that one of these didn't get hooked back up properly when the engine was put back in? I checked the car for codes 2 days ago and there were none. Any other ideas before I put a new thermostat in it?

Thanks,
Jeremy

your trans has a cooler with a heater control valve, if not hooked back up propely, you get a a low coolant temp....seems like the car won't warm up....vinnie

That is very likely the problem. I'll crawl under the car tonight and see if I can sort it out. I also found a reference on the GT2/3 forum -
