Default OT: Bought a new DD-- Audi RS6

Needed a bigger car for daily use, but didn't want to sacrifice too much in terms of performance from the TT. Also, need AWD. So... searched long and hard for this and just bought a 2003 RS6. The stock car is 450 hp/413 lbs of torque. I immediately
-- flashed ECU with REVO,
-- added new 19" (R8 style) rims,
-- updated nav to current A6 unit,
-- slight window tint (35%)
The car seats 5 and now (post flash) has 515 hp/500 lbs torque. My best guess is 0-60 in about 4.4-4.5 sec (stock car with 450 hp is rated at 4.6 sec). So far, I am very happy with it. A few pics:

I've always liked those. Great exhaust note inside the cabin. How many miles on the clock? AS

How does it handle? I've never driven an RS6.

I had an 01 A6 2.7t with sport suspension and the ride/handling was definitely the weak spot. Too stiff for comfort around town and too soft at speed.

Thanks guys.

Alex, the car has 48k miles. I sprung for a 4 year/48k mile aftermarket warranty too (warranty company--CNA--is accepted by Audi dealers). So car is now covered until 2013/98k miles. All in (car+mods+warranty) I still came out a few Gs under $40k, which was my self-imposed budget. Not bad.

I think the '03 RS6s, if you can find one without tons of mileage, is the best value out there in the super sedan space.

SNP, handling is very good, largely because the suspension is brand new. All RS6s are currently under an Audi recall for their "DRC" suspension (which seems to be leaking on some cars), so the dealer replaced the suspension as part of my sale. All current RS6 owners get a new suspension (at no cost) with a 12 month/12k mile warranty for all suspension parts.

Great cars infact i was about to purchase one myself too but decided to go with an E55 instead..
DRC and the transmission are the weakest links in these cars.
Buying Warranty eas definately a great idea.
Enjoy in good health..

Thanks C2. The DRC was just replaced, so hopefully new one will last... No problems (yet) with transmission. (fingers crossed right now). I love the E55 but I needed AWD for nasty winters here in NY suburbs. Enjoy yours. GBG

I love those cars too! I wish Audi would have brought the latest RS6 to our shores, can't understand why they didn't. 580 hp stock!
