Replacing Idler Pulley
Need to replace idler pulley that is under the power steering pump on the passenger side of my 2003 996 turbo. Does anyone know if this can be done without removing the engine bracket that runs along the back of the engine. The pulley is covered about 30% by it and is about 1" away from it.

Hi there, sorry to hijack the thread (it seemed dead anyway!). I've got to do the same thing. Do any of you know whether the carrier needs to be removed? Thanks!
