997 Shift Assembly installed, I like it
Thanks to the folks here at Rennlist.. I've had the B&M ssk on my boxster before and the oem ssk on my 996 carrera.. but nothing compares to the 987/997 shifter assembly.. shorter throws, easy to shift/precise such a blast to drive.
Some shift ***** like this uses tork screw, like what other says make sure you watch out and dont knock your teeth off while pulling it..
old one..
the longest to remove..LOL
old one coming off
I cant tell the difference..lol 997 at the bottom
new one is in
part #
Finish product

I've got the 997 shifter in mine as well, bought at Suncoast very reasonably by the way. I do like it as well. Got rid of some of the notchy 1-2 feel although not all. But it did shorten the throws. I like it as well.

I did this upgrade as well...totally worth it. The throw is a little shorter but it is the feel that is noticeably different - much more positive, less slop but not too short that I wonder what gear I am in when I am busy downshifting before a busy corner at the track. Got it for less than 2 bills...much less than the SSK
