Default Continental 295/30/18 Tires needed

While having my LWFW and clutch installed, I discovered that my rear tires are shot (belt showing). They are Continental Sportcontact 2, size 295/30/18. I would love to find a lightly used pair, for a reasonable price. I already checked E-bay. Thanks.

Mark, the rears wear out about twice as fast as the fronts, so I found it better just to get new rears. 12,000 miles from now, you will get 4 new tires. I have 60,000 miles, so I've been thru this a few times. AS

AS thanks for the info. I'm on my second 996 C2 and they eat rear tires. I would be thrilled to get 12,000 out of the rears. I'm lucky to get 6,000. Most likely a driver problem.

My second choice would be a used full set of Pilot Sport Cups (the track is calling me)...anybody???

The R-Compound tires sound like a better choice. I found the compound used in the conti's to be very 'plastic like' and correspondingly low on traction. I use Toyo R888's for daily driving. Surprisingly good in the wet and cool weather.
