Dr. Snip Snip (as we affectionately call him) is still at Autobahn in Illinois today but maybe when he gets back, the comments here will goad him into providing more details and answering some of the questions.

And although I love to tease him about how ridiculous it is to tow with a 996 Turbo, in truth, I have to agree with this sentiment. Nice to see these cars (Porsche and Ford) being used to the max. Far too many end up as garage queens (or at the junk yard).

I would be curious to see what the tongue weight is on that setup....a Sherline LM guage would give you the number immediately.
I don't think the rear bumper, as designed, would allow for more than a couple hundred pounds of tongue weight, without substantial reinforcement (which folks in 968, 986 and 996's have done in the past).

BTW, garage queens need love too....

Best racing suit I have seen yet. But they won't find you if you fall out of the car.

Does anyone know what kind of hitch he's using? Is it something custom?

I've yet to see any 911 hitch that's rated for more than 1000 lbs, so this is very interesting.
