I am having a problem with the oil pressure sender spiking to the top and going up and down then setteling in the right range. I assume its either a bumped and loosened wire from when my altanator was changed out a couple months ago or a bad unit. Where is it located and is it a DIY project to change out? On one of my old Porsches the wire came off and it spiked to the top hence thinking it may be the wire.

Had the same, was thinking along same lines you are. It was the unit itself. Dealer changed it.

anybody have an idea of the cost for the part or what a dealer might charge? I need to find a decent independant that knows these cars when the repair is out of my realm now that my CPO is gone.
