DUI case gets resolved? I have a clean driving record w/ no points and no issues pending. And if I did have a DUI case that wasn't resolved, what would it have to do with anything here? Rod Serling must have met someone like you to help him envision the Twilight Zone. Can anyone here on Rennlist vouch for this guy's sanity? I'm serious. This is bizarre.

WOW! so what year car to get? the newest you can afford is always a good way to go. If I were buying today I would almost get a 997tt for what 996tt's were going for two years ago. To late now. Good luck with your search that is the fun part.

You already said goodbye and said you would "block" me. Now you're back and reading my posts. Are the synapse in your brain on vacation?, or is it just a short memory?

Thanks for the on topic post. I agree. The 997's are so cheap now I'd be shopping for an 07 if I had to do it over again. You can get a scream'in deal on an 07 and you'll have a factory warranty for while, too. You might have to stretch a bit financially, but I would think it would be worth it.

I just got an '02TT last fall. I have heard, from another guy that has an '02TT, that before that year there were some problems with the liquid cooling components. I don't know how true this is but he is an older gentleman and a Porsche enthusiast that lives near me. He said all those bugs got worked out in the MY02. Also, I am looking at replacing my PCM1 and from what I have read MY03 is when they added the MOST. I have heard that makes it a pain in the rump to change just the head unit since everything is fiber optic cable. Depending what you want to do with the car, this is 2 things that I didn't know before I got mine but lucked out on.

bdd, I have also read the MOST came on in 03. I was told by Sharkwerks, my tuner, that on the older turbos, especially the 01's, the coolant tank often discolors and becomes brittle and should then be replaced. I'm not sure if the 01's have a different kind of plastic or if it's just age. Maybe this is what your neigbor is referring to. BTW, Welcome to Rennlist and congrats on your new turbo. Keep us posted on what unit you replace your PCM1 with.

Boy, this really got nasty.
Back to topic, I think my03 is the best yr to look for in a 996TT, prefer an x50. There are some super deals out there right now!

Yes, Bluegrass Region. I should be at the CIR PCA at the new track in Sparta in late April. I won't be driving as my car isn't fully prepped yet, but will be hanging out some. I joined the track so I'm looking forward to having some good track time this year. Also headed to the Porsches to Oxford event a little later on this year......I think we typically go there with some people from the Louisville club.
