Default Rennewerk in NY

Any fellow New Yorkers have experience at Rennewerk in Westchester? I'm thinking of a stage 1 tune (ECU+diverters+intake) for my 996 TT and am trying decide between three local shops (Rennewerke in Westchester, Rennsport in Bedford Hills, and ICS in Stamford). Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Do what I did, go to Farnbacher-Loles in Danbury. You'll find their prices are competitive, and the level of knowledge is off the charts. Ask for Kip Harris 203 798 2929.

Chris,

Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked out their website-- very impressive! It seems that they use their own propietary ECU tuning, i.e., not GIAC or EVO etc? Has your experience been very positive? They look expensive. I'm going to look into it. Thanks for the recommendation.

"Cheech" at Rennwerke is a character worth meeting and working with.

Here's their website:
http://users.rcn.com/edwardh.nai/cheech.htm

And TT Surgeon's recommendation is spot on for Farnbacher-Loles.

Also, not that advertising in the local chapter PCA newsletter makes any difference, but for our local PCA chapter, it shows support for the club.
Rennwerke and Farnbacher-Loles do.
Rennsport and ICS don't.

Gary,

Any shop you choose, go pay them a visit.

You really need to feel comfortable.

Also, I would choose a Porsche only shop, JMHO.

Thanks guys. After a fair amount of research and after contacting a few of the places, I've decided to go with FarnbacherLoles. It's just a cut above (IMO).

Good choice, having 4 cars in the top ten at the 24hrs of daytona ain't too shabby either! Plus they treat you like a king when you're there, always a positive. You'll be surprised, their prices are very reasonable for what you get.

For Track prep and or set up you can't beat Farnbocher L

For Tuning these cars EPL Stratford CT he is the professor...... give Tony Chic a call you won't be disappointed.
