Default Which DV to buy ? Where to buy in US ?

Hi all ,
i'm from Belgium and i own a 2002 996 TT on which i will have the ecu flash done so i'ld like to move from the OEM DV to after market DV .
Which one do u recommend ? Where do u buy in the US ?
I don't want to deal with carnewal as their prices are way too high compared to the US market
AND no lie : the rate exchange from dollar to euro is great for us european !!
Car is bone stock for now , will have the flash done by upsolute , K&N air filter in the OEM air box , and an europipe exhaust stage 2 loud
These are the only mods that will be done on the car , basic mods so
Thanks in advance for your answers
Bets regards

I've had Bailey DVs for over five years...not one problem with them.

I have had Forge's from Kevin at UMW for a few years now...he set them up for me with the right spring for my planned use, etc. No issues.

Don't get the Upsolute chip,I had it and I got a burned exhaust valve, one rod was bent which damaged also my oil pump and one cilinder and piston.
I sended the upsolute file to a German tuner to check wat was wrong and it seemed that upsolute raised all knocking parameters so computer didn't detect knock anymore.
I also sended a mail to upsolute with their file to tell them wat was wrong but they never answered me..
I also live in Belgium so you can call me (if you don't speak Dutch we will talk in English) 0495/577693
I have the forge divertervalves which never caused problems..

Would someone kindly explain the basic difference between the EVO, Bailey, and Forge diverter valves? Whereas one (or more) might be made in China..... What makes one any better/worse than the next? I realize that spring tension may lead to a better ability to hold boost....but springs can be replaced, and the valves can be cleaned and lubed every so often... so other than that....what criteria makes one superior or inferior?

I wouldn't buy DV on ebay.de because most of them won't fit a 996TT (way to big)

You can't go wrong with either of these DV's

Chuck, I have the EVO DVs installed. They are not adjustable to my knowledge (as the Forge are), but they also need ~no maintenance AFAIK. I have a new set of forge sitting in the garage....as I thought there was some advantage...IMHO as long as they don't leak or blow apart there is need for the adjustability.

Stat: I have the EVO also...but I see that most folks were recommending the Bailey's...which was what generated my question....I did hear that you need to periodically open them up and put a little silicone lube in there to keep the plunger moving freely. I also believe that since the EVO's can be unscrewed so that you can clean and lube them, you must be able to "adjust" them....which amounts to nothing more than altering then tension of the spring.....one fellow even suggested putting in a quarteror a washer at the base of the spring which fits almost exactly and the thickness of the quarter provided a set amount of increased tension for the spring. I just leave mine alone.

To the OP. Skip the K&N air filter. Just change out your OE paper filter more often.
