Default Valentine One Rearview Mirror HELP!!!!

Hello all,

I bought my TT a few months back and it has a Valentine One installed in the rearview mirror. Well the rearview mirror has broken (or at least it looks that way, the oil at the top has all run out). I can get a new mirror, but does anyone know who or where I can go to get the Valentine One re-installed?

HUGE HUGE appreciation for any help on this fellas,

-Brandon

They are the folks that do that, as I understand it. I had talked to them about having it done on my TT but then discovered that it had a K-40 installed that was just missing a piece to make it work. I went that way but still have the V1 up where it's legal. On my Cayenne's, I leave the V1's up all the time, attached to a little mini-visor above the mirror.
The price I got for the mirror was $495-$595 depending on whether it was dimming or non dimming. Maybe they can fix yours.

The mirror is not the "V1"... it is just a remote display. WHere is your V1 mounted (ie the 'box'). Oh, out of curiosity, when you get an audible alert where does that come from? Personally most remote V1 mounting locations loose some sensitivity, which is why I've never done it.

The mirror is a standard Porsche mirror that is etched and a remote display is attached inside behind the etched mirror.

mine has the auto dimmer though....does that make a difference? i.e. the "oil" behind the glass that makes it dim when bright lights are behind you.

Be careful- that oil is corrosive electrochromic fluid and will destroy paint, interior parts...

From the ebay link:

"3. Auto Dimming Mirrors will work unless noted."

Did you email them and ask?

Default mirror

Related question.
I have a Valentine One and a Blinder Laser Jammer. The Blinder connects to a red/green lamp in the courtesy light over the mirror. The Valentine displays through the mirror. I did not install it. The first owner did.
Where did he get the mirror?

How would we possibly know???? Ask him.

The links in this thread show various 'mirror V1 displays'... but only YOU know what yours looks like! Does it look like the one eurotek makes? Then maybe that's where your Prior owner bought it.....
