Default 997 Bose subwoofer unit

Hi all,
I recently purchuased a 997 Bose subwoofer unit, from E-bay for my 996 TT.
I have done the same thing some years agon on my 996 Carrera 2 01 with a 996 Bose subwoofer unit, which I had connected it with an small 2 channel amp in order to get some more bass...(result was more than satisfying)

in this case I ralised that the 997 unit ( which in size is excactly the same) does have an integrated amplifier unit......

is there a way to connect the 997 unit to my Pcm keeping the
integrated amp so that I will not have to drill any holes in order to use an external amp unit???

The subwoofer unit does not connect to the PCM, it connects to the amplifier.
All content/control is passed from the headunit to amplifier via MOST (plastic optical fiber).
The amplifier has a dedicated output for the rear subwoofer (BTW, its' not really a subwoofer, just a ported bass enclosure with small drivers). You should connect to those.

Yes, it's a small amplifier (IIRC, it is a 12V/100W switching amplifier).

It is controlled/fed audio from the main amplifier (which should be under the bonnet, in the boot, up against the firewall.....small black aluminum extrusion with a small fan for cooling).

Yes, the amp inside the box is a dumb, differential analog input, amplifier.
Give it power and an audio signal, and it will amplify and drive the 'subwoofer'.

(remember, it's not really a subwoofer, and remember "All Highs, No Lows, Must be Bose".)
