Bridgestone "pole positions" ?
Has anyone tried bridgestone pole positions on there car? I am due for new tires and thought these may be a good alternative to the michelin sport rib. Thanks for any info

Yes switched to Bridgestone pp last month from pirellis. So far, I love them . I haven't pushed them hard yet. They have a good rep and they are reasonably priced when you look a Mich. Pilots. They look better than the pirelli, IMO.
Make sure you get competant people rolling these things on your wheel. I had "the best" do it and they still scratched me a little. I can't be too pissed as the mngr. is a friend and gave me decent deal. $1000 total after tax/ installed.

I hate them. Sidewalls are too soft and car sway at speed is increased. I still favour P-P0R for performance driving. But each to their own. Until you try them all you can never know which is best for you.

I am shopping for a fresh set of tires for my tt at this time. I suspect my Pirelli's are the cause of increased road noise and it is driving me crazy. Good to hear some feedback on the Bridgestone's.

I was told by my local PCA-friendly tire dealer that Pirelli's have a belt shifting problem. I replaced mine because of excessive noise and difficulty balancing them. My new tires are PS2's and I'm very happy with them.

I replaced my tires last year and went with another set of Conti's. They are a good middle of the road tire (performance/price). Had Pirelli's on my last car and hated them. I put Bridestone SO2A's on my previous car and loved those. Michelin's are a bit pricey but are the best. I'd stick to an "N" rated tire no matter what you choose.

I have Michelins on my 993 and Bridgestones on my 996TT. I'd give a slight nod to the Michelins, but on my DD TT I'm perfectly content with the Bridgestones.

For wet weather the Bridgestone outperforms the Michelin. Dry grip performance hedges a bit towards the Michelin. Wear is about the same between the two.

any feedback on the Khumo's ? I had been running them on the 993, and felt they were fine, but I never drive that car fast or push it as hard as I find myself pushing the tt. I am hesitant to try a set on the tt, but the price does make me consider giving them a try. Anyone here using them ?

I have the Khumos SPT on my TT. They have been fine in wet and dry however I havent really pushed them on the track. I have about 1K miles on them and so far and still like them.

I tried a set of the Bridgestone PP on my GT3. I found them to be great on the street, track and autocross. They seem to be wearing rather well too.
