Default a service question

Hi everyone,
looking at a pre-owned 2001 996TT, I came across the P. dealer service records with description of "Stage 2,3,4 Recon." performed in in 2004, what is a Recon.? is that a major red flag?
thanks,
Sam

Sam:

Call them tomorrow and ask?

It may be their own notes. Like the time my service records showed replacement of a "**** ****" TYPO

yes, I think that may be the best route, I just thought it may be a universal term P uses to describe service issues. Hope it doesn't mean reconstruction
thanks,
Sam

I am not sure but I think it is an over-rev situation. The computer keeps track of everytime you exceed the rev limit. The different levels indicate the type of over-rev how long and how much over. I think this is what it means

The ECU on the 01's only tracked Stage 1 and 2 over revs....so the suggestion to call them and ask them what "recon" means is the best explanation so far.

Recon(ditioning), as in detailing.
