Alexander......that 22 sounds a bit better and a lot more realistic. When I drive I-5...which is as level as a pool table and straight as a cue.....I can get 22 if I keep it on cruise....but then like you, I just CAN'T STAND the pace and break the monotony, and with the monotony goes the mileage. Yutta' Hey....buy a four cylinder Camry if you're worried about it.

I also ran the OBC readout against a GPS and the speedometer is running 4 mph faster than the GPS at 75....so the folks setting cruise controls at 70 are probably really running 65. That tells me there is inherent slop in the cluster readouts...and who knows how far the inaccuracies go with respect to the claimed 26 or 27 MPG.
