Battery exploded

Well that sucks. I wager that the dealer didn't get it all and checking yourself or have a knowledgeable friend check it is a good idea. Sulfuric acid is nasty and can wick into many nooks and crannies that s quick wipe and wash might very well miss.
A to the battery itself P has no business mounting a wet cell in the car. Dry cells like the Hawker Oddessy are sealed and do not vent hydrogen. I have used them in a number of applications and have been very pleased. Much lighter, more than adequate CCA capacity, no acid mess, or explosion risk is hard to pass on. I am surprised that it hasnt been mentioned yet. But here is an example installation thread.

The cheapest place to get the PC925MJ I have found is http://www.batterymart.com/p-odyssey...j-battery.html. BTW the MJ stands for metal jacket and yes get that version.
