If anyone's done a 2WD conversion of a 996tt...
Hi guys. If you've done a 2WD conversion on your 996tt
and have the guts of the front differential laying around,
it's looking like I may need to replace mine, so let me know
what you'd want for those innards.
Much thanks,
Joe Weinstein

thanks. I hear a noise when rolling that sounds like a muffled, random rattle. My
shop says it's either the front diff or the drive-train linkage between the front
box and the rear. When up on the lift, if you rotate one front wheel, there is
an inch or two of play before the other front wheel moves, and you can hear
some noise when you do that. The shop changed out the oil with some slightly
thicker Swepco oil, and that seems to have muffled the sound somewhat.
