04 turbo cab prices
I am in the mkt for 04/05 turbo cabs. Looking for any of the silvers or black. Would like to trade my AS/Blk mint 02 Boxter S (25K miles). Cab prices seem to be all over the place. it is definitely caveat emptor... That being said, what is a reasonable price for a cpo'd 04 turbo cab. I have one dealer offering me a 16k mile 04 for 87,500. that seems on the high side, as these cars are only heading furthur south...
thoughts?? thanks in advance

A lot will depend on whether the car is a CPO car or not - and what options are on the car. I paid a bit more that that last August, but mine is CPO'ed and has the X-50 package and a few other upgrades.

CPO is Certified Pre-owned. It can only be gotten if purchased from a Porsche dealer and adds an additional 2 years of a limited warranty to the car after the 4 year original warranty expires. The dealer pays about $2K to PCNA to add this to a car. If it is from a dealer and has the CPO warranty, probably low to mid $80's is reasonable. If not, mid to high $70's.

I agree......there are two '04's at LA Porsche dealers. One asking $73.9, the other, a CPO car with TIP asking $82.9k. I'm seeing many in this range of asking prices. For whatever raeason, any premium for a cab is gone, or even gone to negative vs. the coupes (I thaink it's a supply/deamnd thing here where fewer '04-05 cpe's were sould in the LA area) + the used car buyers tend to be the enthusiasts who want Cpe's., I guess..........MK

I just picked up the 04 TT Cab in LA for $73 without the CPO and 26k miles. It is in excellent condition - just a few minor - such as new rear tires needed. I had it inspected (the same inspection as for the CPO) by a local Porsche dealer and bought a 5 year 75 extended Eazy CAre warranty for $4,100. Based on what i have read, the Easy care seems to have more value.
It seems alot of dealers and persons price this way over the low to mid 70's but based on what i saw that is a very fair price for a non-CPO. If the car qualifies for the Easy Care warranty - i think that would have more value - 5 year verses only 2 for the CPO.
Good luck in finding your car.
