Default 996 X50 Package?

How can you tell the difference between the regular 996 Turbo and the X50 model? Any standard visual que? Any difference between the VIN number?

look for X-50 option on the hood sticker. The inner coolers are also different.

As stated above, you can see the fins (IC) in the rear slats. You can also decode the vin (see RennTech.org)

JIMQ is right...under the front hood is a sticker...if you have an X50 it will be one of the option codes listed there. That's the simplest way I know to tell.
