Default San Diego area service recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good San Diego service center for a 996 tt?

I don't need one yet, but would like to have one lined up just in case. I'm not a big fan of dealerships... too impersonal... too expensive. When I lived in Seattle I went to Redmond European... the mechanic knew my car, took the time to walk through mods, only replaced what was neccesary, and I got to hang out with him at the track. The local dealers frowned upon any modification and in some cases refused to work on modified cars.

Thanks,

Wish I could help - used to take my 993 to Pioneer where they did good work. Now I'm looking for an early 911 and have the same question you do.

I've had all my p-cars worked on at Black Forrest. Do great work and don't dick you around.
