Default Fabspeed exhaust

I have recently purchased a 2005 Turbo "S". Has anyone bought the Fabspeed sport exhaust with the header combo? Any input much appreciated, thanks

pm my brother 'sttjmk' -- he's got the fabspeed gen 3 set up with the exchangeable muffler bypasses as well. A definite 'must have' over stock IMO.

i've now had three exhausts on my 996tt. (never any headers as i was told it was a waste of time on a stage2 car).

- Fabspeed Gen2 w/100cell sport cats.
- DGI/Speed Tech w/200 cell sport cats
- Europipe S2 w/100 cell sport cats.

Fabspeed was the worst in build quality, had huge drone (although they solved that with gen3), thin chambers and was the lightest. built good power

DGI/SpeedTech had high build quality, very nice sound (quite at idle, but when you get on it sounds great), slightly heavier than fabspeed but had thicker chambers, 70mm tubing!!!!, built good power, 18 lbs per side (nice and light) and sounded great.

Europipe: Best sound, Best Quality, Very heavy, Great Power.

So my #1 choice is europipe (but they are price). My #2 choice is the SpeedTech/DGI Exhaust because of cost - new $1900 with x50 style tips. My #3 choice is fabspeed (just because of price).

Btw, i have my SpeedTech/DGI exhaust system for sale. I'm going to take some pics and put it up probably later today....

Cheers,
Boris

Agree, the Fabspeed has a lot of drone at part throttle around 3000 odd rpm. But I have go used to it.

Careful, Fabspeed Gen 2 had drone... Fabspeed Gen 3 has no drone... that is what they are selling now. I have it in my car and it is a great setup.
