Default 4wd -> 2wd, ECU Conflicts??

Hi
I´m in the middle of building a street legal 996TT race car with Supercup spec.

I´ve removed everything around the fwd harware but is concerned regarding the PSM and ABS..Do I have to do something to get the ECu realise that the FWD are gone? Will the PSM mess up the car? And finally will the ABS work?

Thanks
Pete

If you take out the driveshaft and axles, etc it will not mess up your PSM/ABS.

You still need the front ABS sensors.
My guess is you will need to reprogram the DME for a GT2 and ABS for 2WD (a GT3 ABS will work).

there have been many guys on the forums going to RWD, I have never seen mention of having to do anything with the ECU. the PSM still does its job fine.

We removed everything from the fwd, my abs works fine, no issues at all. Much better IMO

I´m using the front "up-righters" from a GT3 with ABS sensors!
As it sounds on you guys it looks like it will work with no problem!! .-)
That´s really excellent!
