CEL P0507 after SI hose change
I've never seen P0507s before.....am now......they follow a rough idle.
In search I did see about a year ago blueline had 507s (along w/another code)..... and various ideas were offered.....but I didn't see that the result of that episode was listed......I've sent him a PM.
Any ideas welcome & appreciated.........recent tweeks to the car have involved headers and full new SAMCO SI hose kit (all nice new shiney Zebra clamps)....along with other misc.........MAS is clean.
I'm guessing a leak at air intake?..........per Renntech a P0507 is a 32 idle control 'above' limet.
Again.....TIA

you probably have a leak somewhere in the intake system. check all of your hose connections. when i installed the si hoses, one of them came loose and threw cell. can't remeber code though...

From the DME manual:
P0507
32 Idle air control at stop - above limit
Diagnosis conditions
• Start-up ended
• Speed = 0 km/h
• Throttle valve in idle position
• Engine temperature > 60 °C
• Intake air temperature > -10 °C
• No fuel tank ventilation or tank ventilation diagnosis
• No secondary air diagnosis
• Altitude correction factor > 0.75
• No faults in speed signal, throttle position sensor, engine temperature, EVAP canister purge valve or tank ventilation system
Possible fault cause
♦ Throttle is jammed
♦ Leaks in intake air system
As Manny said, check for a leak at one of the Si hose connections.

check the hose that connects to your intercooler, they like to come loose.
My came loose everythime I drove hard,I screwed the metal piece from the hoses with 2 screws in the intercooler and sealed it with locktide so I wouldn't have leaks and used other clamps to secure the hoses..Never had problems anymore, they just can't come loose anymore...

I think my 0507 was related to a pressure pipe leak that was exaserbated by the high altitude in Santa Fe. Once I came down from that altitude, I didn't have any more trouble. I have since had the pipes replaced with the upgraded design.
