FVD ecu flash: alive and angry

FVD ecu flash: alive and angry
After long deliberations, I went with FVD ecu flash for my 2001 996tt Tip.
Also installed new DV's and BMC filter last week.
Car has aftermarket exhaust.
Downloaded the program last night
and went out for a test drive in 20 degrees temp.
Turning the key and depressing the accelerator,
I noticed that the exhaust note seemed more menacing.
Driving the car after the flash was insane.
I regularly saw .9 bar, when I could take my eyes off the road.
The torque hole down low and initial hesitation is gone.
The car just gets up and rushes to the red line.
It's like I'm driving the car for the first time.
It's alive and angry.
Unbelievable bang for the dollar.
Thanks to FVD for a great product.
I know others with UMW and GIAC...etc, programs describe a similar experience with flashing and I have to admit, that up to now, I was sceptical that a flash could make that much of a difference.
Had to tkae it out for another test drive this morning!
Now I'm trying to imagine some of the 700 + HP...beasts on here.
holy adrenaline rush batman...

What I like best about the "entry level" flashes is that they make the car behave more like the torquey V8s I've driven for decades. Just a nudge on the throttle at anything over about 2500 and the car surges forward with some real authority. No waiting!

I test drove the car on familiar roads and at soome sections, I really felt I was goign to run out of road....bizarre for such a modest (compared to others) mod.

Thanks.Hooked is the word.
After my test drive, I couldn't sleep till 5.30 am I was so buzzed.
I have already started cleaning the garage and selling stuff on Ebay in prep for future mods. However, your 400m times are safe since my 996tt is an Auto.
If I'm hooked with stage 1 ecu flash, you guys with 700+ are terminally addicted.
Is it possible to have a 700+ HP car and not let it dominate your thoughts and your life on a daily basis?

Google always works:

I also have an X-50 and would interested in the added gains, since the ECU is different from the stock TT.

I think a good ECU program is a great thing with these cars. One just has to be sure of the supplier and FVD is one of the good ones. I also think UMW, GIAC, and others are good too. The big tuners in the USA generally will steer you out of trouble. These cars are not brand new, so many of the bugs are figured out....
Good luck! Glad you are happy.
