My '04 TT Cabrio makes a fair amount of road noise when the top is up..........should I be concerned? Its a low-pitch "road rumble" I would expect to hear if a car had absolutely no insulation. The car drives perfect otherwise and you really don't notice it at freeway speeds, but definately noticable on the street.

What tires are you running? What exhaust?...any Mods?

 

No mods of any kind, Continental Sportcontact 2.

 

To be honest I probably can't help much...I modded my car within 1 month with exhaust. Even with the exhaust, mine is the quietest cab I have ever driven in. My first guess is tires...conti 2s are not that quiet. Conti SC 3s are more quiet. Have you found any codes?

 

cabs are noisy...remember that the chassis is not as stiff as a coupe.

 

Thanks for the input. It's due for the 30K service in about 1,200 miles, I will have the dealer road test the car, and I want to be on record with the concern. Still have until September with the warranty. I acquired the car with 27,000 miles on it.
