Since the X50 wasn't available in 2001, that leaves about 4,000 cars that could be X50 or "S".
I would guess that only 10% are the X50, so maybe 400 cars. But, that is a guess. Would very much appreciate a real number.
Personally, I have never second guessed the value of the extra cost, as I never worried about the loss of warranty. It will be interesting to see if it adds value as time goes forward. AS

I would also like to know this...I think A. Stemer is close at 10%...that is about the ratio I see from ebay listings. Wouldn't be a great service if Porsche had a contact person who could answer questions like this?

Although there were some non "S" 2005's early in production (there's a future trivia question) , the majority were Turbo S, both in coupe and cab.
This probably means that 700+ "S"/ X50 cars were produced in 2005 alone.
