Tale of Two Turbos; Which Would You Choose
I currently have a choice of 2002 38k miles CPO (silver) $70k or 2002 16k miles no warantee (black) $63.5k. The options are similar and I have every intention of having the non-warrantee car inspected. The CPO car's price seems a little steep to me.
What would you do?

Tough choice for me. Aftermarket warranty is only 3K so makes the lower mileage car look really good. Assume both pass PPI, you gotta like black though and I don't. I would work the Silver car down to $63K.

The CPO is not worth 6500 and the silver car has 22K miles more and that would make me lean towards the black car.

If you can get an extended warranty go with the lower mileage car. If not try to negotiate the price of the other. The price of the CPO car is a little steep. I purchased an 03 with 35K miles, CPO and really nice options for $73k.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.
I was a little concerned on after market warranty as many companies don't operate in FL. My previous extended warranty company (Warranty Direct) operated here but wouldn't insure TT cars. They ended up taking a bath on my '02 911 4S; Flywheel, Ignition switch, and then they returned my prorated premium, I came out ahead.
The black car did look interesting otherwise (hence a definate PPI), it had a sport exhaust and I also notice small cracks around the holes in the brake rotors (ceramic?). It is a trade at a high end non-Pcar dealership. Maybe some upgrades adding to the value?
There are a lot of choices out there, maybe I should take my time and find the perfect color ect.

White isn't as bad but black is way too hard to keep up with.
In 1987 I bought a brand new Buick Grand National (they only came in one color - black). I detailed that car almost every weekend and by Monday it was always dirty. I swore then that I would never own another black car!

I wouldn't buy an aftermarket warranty if I had it to do over... I already know I'm gonna have nothing but trouble out of mine... I've been warned... Anyway, I'd do the silver car in a heartbeat, and work them down on the price. $65K is reasonable, and if you can get it down to $63K, then do it...
I'd trade mine in a heartbeat if I could get a decent, reasonably modded Silver car with similar miles.

I would be careful about the black car, as it may also have been reprogrammed. You do need to know if it has ceramics, since they are awfully expensive to replace. I would take the CPO car at any necessary price, but there is no harm in continuing to look. That 70K number will probably drift down all by itself, if you just wait. Alternatively, just tell the dealer to call you when they will accept the number you give as acceptable to you. AS

I don't think that this debate has to do with is Black better than Silver...
The fact of the matter is the Black car is far cheaper and has really low Miles for the age which indicates that it may have been treated like a garage Queen.
Which would indicate to me that who ever was the previous owner really respected and cared about the car.
Also I would have thought that re-sale on a low mileage car would always be stronger than that of a High Mile car.
Therefore I say "Always Bet on Black"!!!

Easy for me.
The '03 is worth ~$3-6k more on MY alone, + $10k on mileage alone......so call it $14k more, minus the CPO value of about $2500, and the delta value is over $11k. But the '03 is lower priced, so you come out with $6.5k on price, + $11.5k on valuation or a total of $18k!!! That's ton of insurance, and I well prefer cash in the bank to warranties that are designed to benifit the seller (on balance they don't sell these things to loose money....now do they?) MK19
