Default Has anyone ever had a button pushed into the dash?

Someone pushed the spoiler button into my dash and I have no idea how to remove the piece of trim that the buttons are in (the one around the nav unit).

Anyone have any idea how to remove that trim piece without breaking it?

Thanks in advance, Blair

Could you please tell us what model and year of car? If it is a 996TT MY03 or later the horse shoe can be removed simply by prying it out (I use my finger nails, but some use a plastic knife).

that happens to my 03 all the time. ....just pry out the outer retaining part and put the button back in.

Thanks all, yes, it is an 03tt, do I pry it from the bottom or top? or does it even matter?

Thanks again, Blair

Blair, you can just pull from the bottom outward. The trim piece will just pop out if you can get behind it with something.
