Default PPI list

In a few days I'll be getting a PPI done on a car I want to buy, across country. I know about 2nd gear pop-outs and over-revs, what else should I know and speak with the PPI mechanic about? The car is a 2002 996TT with low mileage.

Make sure they have a comprehensive PPI checklist. Most dealers and independant shops have this now, but I did run into a few that didn't when I was searching.

Have them fax you a copy (or email) of the checklist. Once you review it that may spark some other items you might want them to take a close look at.

I handled mine this way and the few cars I did have PPI's done on I'd have them send me the completed checklist before they released the car back to the owner so if there were items I wanted them to look into a bit further they still had the car.
