Do you use, I was driving home last night and the low oil light came on, did the test and the last bar was flashing. The oil pressure gauge is staying on 5 while I drive. Do I need to put a quart in it to drive it today, I am taking it to my mechanic on Tuesday, don't want to hurt anything

I have added two quarts of oil (Mobile 1 - 0 w 40) to mine since I have owned it (5 months). I think its the nature of the beast with these turbo charged engines.

 

Christian; You'd have to be nuts not to protect a $10-20k motor at the cost of a quart or 2 of oil just because you are going for service in a few days.............YES, add the oil.

 

Yeah add the oil, but I don't think it will take 2 quarts. IIRC from the bottom line to the top is around 1 quart.

 

each bar on the display is .25 of a quart (about 250 ml). Add as required.

 

yep, they use oil.. i just had a change about 500 miles agi, and its 1/2 qt low already.
