Default FS: 2003 996 Turbo ** UPDATED PRICING **

I am selling my 2003 996 Turbo with 28K miles. When I embarked on the modifications and upgrades I intended on adding this car to my permanent collection and to that end I just did a major service prior to the end of the factory warranty to make sure everything is perfect and purchased an extended warranty from my Porsche dealer. But with an upcoming focus on track events and racing I do not have the room to keep this Turbo. I am putting this out here first to fellow 6-Speeders and will be listing it soon. Here are the details:

2003 Porsche 996 Turbo
Original MSRP - $116,200.00
A1 Black
AH Black full leather
M6A Black mats - $115
635 Parking assist system - $530
342 Heated front seats - $410
XSC Porsche crest in headrest - $220
X70 Medal door sill model insignia - $425
XCE Rear center console Alu-Look - $735
Y06 Alum/Lthr Shifter/Brake Handle - $885
446 - Wheel caps with colored crest - $175
Total original MSRP - $119,695.00

The in service date was 6/3/2003 and I am the second owner. It was sold originally at Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta, GA and I subsequently purchased it from Jim Ellis on 11/30/2005. All service has been performed at Jim Ellis, specifically by their Master Technician. It has been over maintained and if anything was marginal it was repaired/replaced. For example, while under warranty the following common problems areas were addressed:

Clutch slave master cylinder replaced
Battery replaced
Power steering reservoir replaced
Clutch release bearing replaced
Hydraulic accumulator replaced

When I purchased the car it was stock and I have had the following work performed:

Orton Performance ECU Remap
BMC Air Filter
B&M Short Shifter
Champion RG5 Titanium (19X8F, 19X11R) Wheels
Michelin PS2 (235/35-19F, 315/25-19R) Tires
Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers
Eibach 3-Way Adjustable Sway Bars
Bailey Diverter Valves
Europipe EP2 Loud with Enlarged Dual Pipes
2WD Conversion
Tequipment Roll Bar
Lloyds Mats w/Silver Stitched Porsche
Ruf Pedals
Painted Bumperettes
Rear Wiper Delete Plug
Front Bumper Plugs
Rear wiper removal
Rear seat removal

All work has been performed to the highest of standards. Between Kinetic Race Shop performing the suspension set-up (coilover install, corner balancing, alignment, etc.), Orton Performance, and Jim Ellis Porsche no corners have been cut.

With the full intention of keeping this car I had a full 30K service performed early (including brake fluid flush) to ensure that the car was perfect prior to coming out of factory warranty. This work was done on 4/25/07 at a cost of nearly $1,500.00.

Additionally, on 5/7/2007 I purchased a Carefree Car Protection Gold Plus warranty from Jim Ellis Porsche (4 years/48,000 miles) at nearly $3,200.00. Jim Ellis has been selling this warranty for many years and it is the only warranty they endorse.

I am offering the car with all mods less the Europipe and Champion wheels for $68,000.

Please PM if interested.

Bryan

Someone should just buy it as is with all the mods. It's obvious you spared no expense and took excellent care of the car.

I tend to agree with you, but I am a little partial...

Based on initial feedback I will probably return the car to stock and sell the mods.

Quick question: I see you did a conversion to 2 wheel drive? Why did you do this and are there any long term issues associated with the conversion?

Someone should jump on this !

A perfect car, well maintained and cared for.
I've seen it on numerous occasions and it's beautiful.
Bryan, best of luck with the sale !

Ultimately I wanted to recreate the feeling of my NA 996. I learned to drive on a track/aggressively using the throttle to help direct the car and I never fully embraced the AWD. As for issues, absolutely none. I fully endorse and recommend the conversion.

I have now placed the car on AutoTrader and will actively begin trying to sell it. Before I part it out and return it to stock please let me know if you have an interest in purchasing it whole of partially returned modified.

Just a friendly word of Caution , only paying members can list stuff for sale so don't me surprised if a mod deletes your post.

PS gorgeous machine

Would you be willing to send me high resolution pics of the car? Would make a great desktop.

Thanks!
