Default Paddle shifter for tiptronic

First post for me...didn't find anything else on this subject.

Has anyone swapped out the toggle shift steering wheel on a 996T for a paddle shift. Most of these are down shift on the left and up shift on the right, my wifes Audi A3 has a very nice set up. They sell one at fvd.us that is 340mm or about one inch smaller diameter than OEM and requires an additional hub or spacer; has anyone installed one of these? Also I wondered if any of the Audi or VW steering wheels have been adapted to work?

you are better off with the Gemballa wheel with button shifts vs paddles

The Audi is a true DSG, and the paddles rapidly shift gears in precise response to your input. The Porsche tip is an AUTOMATIC with push-button electric signals that responds much more slowly, often delayed or unresponsive to your command.
The Porsche woorks much better in full automatic mode, giving the signals to the gearbox with decisive throttle, brake and steering inputs. The button controls are actually slower.

You won't duplicate the A3 by adding the paddles, no more than the A3 could accelerate like a tt if you put on a 996 body. AS

I think it's the same manufacturer for most of these wheels i Europe. Mu Ruf paddle shift wheel is made by Atiwe .
Most of the paddle shift wheels are 340 mm.
This is to small for me so i bought the Ruf which is 360mm. It's coming with adustable hub to.
Cost 2000$.
