Default THANKS KEVIN - Ultimate Motorwerks

So when you buy a car from a dealership, and not the previous owner, It can be hard to find useful info about what was, what wasn't, and how best to deal with fixing issues with the existing mods on a car... Thankfully Kevin noticed the specs of the car I just bought, and chimed in... We spoke yesterday on the phone while Kevin was trying to seek relief from a pulled back muscle. We spoke about the car, these cars in general, and about my past car experiences. We also spoke about the smart solution to get the PSM/ ABS codes taken care of. Having just spent a chunk of change on this car, I'm certainly sensetive to spending a bunch more to undo the loud exhaust or these issues with codes. Kevin gave me some good advice on exhaust systems, tuning, and these cars in general.

Much appreciated and just wanted to give props to what appears to be a GREAT VENDOR.

Mike

I'M glad to see my car went to a "homeboy". I only had it throw codes in cold weather when I really accelerated hard, it's is from the custom tuned Upsolute software. Rene of Upsolute has a fix for it but really didnt want to bother sending the box back to him, I'm sure he'll make good., but what Kevin (Memory of an elephant and overall good guy) is offering in software tuning sounds far superior. What I did was send A/f ratios, airflow and a few other engine data to Upsolute and they tuned appropriately.

Look for the guy in a 997S Dark olive metallic Cab, (or 68 911, 64 356, Cayenne..) Aren't many of us in the metropolis of Spotsylvania.
David
P.S. Come-on that's and exhaust that says TESTOSTERONE ON-BOARD

I haven't had a chance due to cold weather here in NE Ohio to test my programmer, but posts like these make me absolutely grateful to Kevin that he talked me into NOT using Upsolute and going w/ his programmer.

I figure only another month before I can test it out! Can't wait, Kevin.

I can't complain about Upsolute, i had some very specific tuning requests and they spent a ton of time working with me, dyno results, turbo and exhaust changes at no extra cost. They are based in Austria as is ultimate MW. As i said they do have a fix for the ABS/PSM codes. I think the fact that I saw it only in the cold weather, makes me think that the colder dense air and the 1.2 BAR confused/overwhelmed something with the MAF sensor.
It sure as hell was fast, and smooth, as the full racing outfitted F-360's found out at VIR

My mistake UMW is in Washington which I know as I know Kevin, the PP-100 programmer and software I believe is from either Austria or the UK, been a while since I researched it.

Ok, it's UK based PP100
Confused it with INMOTION, Austria-based

BTW I am a aware of the Continent that Washington State exists upon, but thanks for the reminder

Thanks David for chiming in! Good to finally meet the previous owner... The folks at BMW of Charlottesville were only but so helpful!

I'll get with you on a few things and I'll be installing another exhaust for a temporary solution while I look into the Euro-pipe and a few others.

Oh, and I want to say THANK YOU for building this car. It's truly my dream come true!
