Well I had a local Porsche dealership do an inspection.
Most everything on the list was checked "ok".
He noted the car has only 200 ignition cycles in Range 2
Trans solid in 2nd gear
for Suspension he put down " rear sway bar links"
Both bulbs in front out
brake fluid flush - dirty
Paint on hood is 7.5-8.0 MILS thick
Paint on all other metal parts 3.0-4.5
Clear coat peeling on left front brake caliper
Anyway I'm a noob at all this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
All other items were checked ok
Its an 02 TT with 45K miles
Thanks again

I don't know as much about this stuff as others, but here's my take on a couple of your findings:
Type 2 over-revs -- maybe just one missed shift for a couple of seconds? If it was recent (relative to engine hours), then hard to tell if there are adverse effects. If it was a long time ago, probably shouldn't be a problem, as any major damage should have surfaced by now. If car is CPO, warranty could be denied based on the type 2 revs.
Paint thickness -- the double thickness paint on hood suggests repaint. Need to look for any signs of collision damage, but hood and front bumper repaint is commoon due to stone chips.
Dirty brake fluid -- needs maintenence service. Any documented service records.
Good that they checked for the 2nd gear pop-out issue.
Good luck with your search & purchase.

I would guess the rear sway bar links may be visably worn, the brake fluid should be flushed and changed every 2 yrs, theres a couple of light bulbs out(may be something bad in electrical system)
