I am getting coflicting answers as far as checking oil on the Turbo. The salesman at the dealership said do it while warmed up and running and the book doesnt say to have it running. Dumb question I know

It has to be warm and it will tell you if it is warm enough or not.
You do it electronically from the toggle switch on the left side of the steering column.
when you hit the correct sequence of prompts, it will say "checking" for about 2-3 seconds
and then a bar graph will appear on your dash showing you the oil level.

Just use the computer selector lever (small one, lower left) and there will be a subheading that tells you the conditions needed to check your oil. Something like "engine warmed up, at idle, level ground".

IIRC, a dry sump engine must be running to make a meaningful oil level measurement.
The TT, GT2, GT3 still carry the M64/GT1 derived block/dry sump engine design
There's none of that PAG "integrated dry sump" BS from the M96/M97 POS engines from the Boxster/Carrera, thank you very much.
