I broke about 3 similar ones and bought a rubber coated steel one, of course mine see a lil more use then the average diy'er

I just wrap some electrical tape around the socket of my impact wrench. Seems to work just fine.

unless you are using aluminum alloy lugs there is no need for this socket. I still have a solid nylon/delrin socket I purchased about 25 years ago to use with the fuchs styled lug aluminum lug bolts haven't used it in 20 years.

I just bought one from Pelican to save on my chrome lug bolts. They do warn not to use them with impact wrenchs though.
