Ok I gave in, my 2001 996TT...
I need therapy for my car A.D.D
Found a Lapis Blue 996TT with natural brown leather that I cant resist..
Here are some dark pics..After test driving on and off for 3 days,i fell in love, the car is really phenomenal.. easy to drive, fast , torque is great especilly in traffic..lol
What's up with no cupholder,I cant live with that, i'll be right next to BruceM on the center vent replacement with cupholders mod..LOL
Also dont like the wood stuff, i will change those as soon as I get my short shift kit
btw:
My CaymanS is for sale at Carlsen Porsche, i think $57K all mods intacted..

Alex,
I'm beginning to get a headache trying to keep up with your cars/sig
Congrats and best of luck on the 996TT.
Looks to be an early 01 (front bumperettes); have you checked to see if the wheels are solid (some early 01's) or hollow spoke (later 01's)?
Another couple of cosmetic mods you may consider (especially since you're going to take the console out for the SSK:
Center console painted Lapis Blue to match body (Eric at bumperplugs)
Rear bumperettes (simple 6mm hex bolt underneath, 1 minute to remove) painted Lapis Blue to match body (Eric again).
Silver OEM hood crest (Eric again)
I have these on mine (01 Lapis also) and was happy with the results.

I have to comment. I have never liked the wood interior until I saw your car. That is really gorgeous. The exterior color is a perfect match. Congratulations!!!

Back in 2001 I had an '01 996TT that was lapis blue with savannah beige interior with the wood. I thought it looked beautiful as does yours.
I really liked the car...
Enjoy!

used 996tt's are with out a doubt the best deal of the decade for a super car. at that price who cares about the wood! have the sharkdood upgrade it with the savings and you will be even more amazed!

Oak you are so right. It's insane what you can get a 996tt for these days. Really the best bang for you buck... The carbon I have is the same weight as his faux wood
However.. with an exhaust, program and then some... he won't be caring

Did a search for lapis blue/natural brown and found this thread.
This is an interior shot of a car I bought last month. I'm guessing this is the same car.
