What to upgrade chip or turbos
I was wondering what upgrade would be better. The GIAC software or to have the k24 (gt2) turbos installed. What would give my car the best performance increase. I currently have a 2001 996tt with a billy boat exhaust and upgraded diverter valves.

get your ecu flashed with the stage II software. You will never get a cheaper 90hp in your life. If you're going to spend the cash to get new turbos, why limit yourself to the limits of the k24's? Do a search...there are a lot of options out there.

As said above you can get some great gains with ecu flash and stock turbos...if you really want to go for it you will need to upgrade the turbos and K24 is only one option (there are better out there). Decide what you want to do, what you want in terms of performance and then talk to kevin at UMW and todd at prtotmotive and todd at evo and stephen at IA...they will help you with choices.

So for ECU only (since you have exhuast and DV's):
GIAC (thru any EVOMS dealer,or someone like AWE, etc.)
Ulitimate Motorwerks
Protomotive (Todd Knighton)
Upsolute
Revo
Now, the path you take may be determined by how far you want to go;
I.E., if you eventually want a 750 H.P. fire breathing monster you can scratch a couple
off from the above list.
Good luck and by doing the programming you will see/feel a nice gain and
should bring your 60mph-130 mph time from about 12.5 seconds to under 11 seconds.

Can anybody explain me why one company wants $ 2000.00 to flash the Ecu and another one $ 700.00? For me this makes a flag go up, either one is charging to much or the other one does a bad job, so what to do?
Anybody had experience with these guy's? http://www.bursethracing.com/product...productID/4529

In Florida you have FVD also.
and in regards to $700 flash...ah NO.
What is your goal today and in 2 years, this will help determine your path to speed

Upsolute is a big established company in Europe, with comparatively little
presence in the U.S. but it's product is excellent. I've run their K16
program for a long time with complete happiness.
If/when you want to go beyond a program for a mostly stock car, you
may want the excellent and local services of a GIAC tuner like EVO,
ImagineAuto etc, or Kevin or Protomotive, and you'll pay more for their
programs, but if you can live with 80 extra horsepower for a while, the
$700 is the best bang for the buck in car history IMHO.
