A little more research revealed the input opening on the bottom of the MOMO ***** is 9/16" diameter. Does anyone know the dimensions of the square 996 shifter?

Lydon,
The tires are Yokohama AVS Sports. They are the only 19 inch tires available in that size. You can obtain them from Gert at Carnewal.

Click on Wheels and you should see them.

Double check and see if the **** will fit. I am not sure if the TT has the same stupid "butterknife" top the boxster does.... if it does you may have to get the top part of the rod milled round. I did when I was installing a Ruf 993 shift **** on my boxster (no 986 one available in that style).... gave me a good excuse to by a B&M short shift kit.

cheers,

Rage,
I was planning to get the short shifter but what benefit will that serve with regard to the ****? I thought the short shifters have the "butterknife" attachment also.

KPV,

No benefit actually other than not having the car out of commission. Once I received the B&M I took it directly over to the machine shop to have it milled round.

Unfortunately I have milled mine down already. I have a MOMO on my BMW that I can remove and measure. I am pretty sure that if the TT has the butterknife attatchment that It will not fit... don't quote me on that. I would ask them if they have installed the on a 996tt just to be safe.

Cheers,

Rage
