As far as I know its the guage cluster and thats it... I'm in Canada, My headlights are always on because we require Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) by law... do US cars also run with their headlights always on (can't turn em off?) I've never seen a US car (running) in person.

Well I can't tell you about Turbos but I brought my Honda from Ontario, Canada to California and I didn't even have to change the guages. Just took the car to the DMV and registered it no problem. I had it here now for the last 5 years w/o any changes. Now getting it smog certified was a different matter, though you only need to go through this step in California as far as I am aware (if you plan on bringing a car to California I'll let you know the steps you need to go through for the smog certificate).

So US Lights are off by default... The Candian cars (996's and Turbos) have NO OFF setting... I wish I could turn mine off at times (like when in my girlfriends driveway... they light up the block). You can turn of the Day Time Lights (in this case the Xenon bulbs) in most cars by engaging the park brake, but not in the Porsches.

I wonder what US part I would have to locate to be able to turn my lights off?
