There is a lot of people replacing their stock turbo diverter valves. My question is, how can one tell if theirs has gone bad?
While waiting for the turbo cab to come out, I picked up a used 996 TT 2 weeks ago. This 996 TT just doesn't seem to accelerate as fast in second and above then my first 996 TT and also seems to exhibit more turbo-lag. When accelerating in 2nd and above it is quite easy to hear, what I believe to be, the diverter value. And, I can hear it for much of the acceleration period in the higher gears. I do get about .7 bar boost in the higher gears.
Any ideas?
