You bet -- big time. Everyone watching it leave the dealership parking lot was grimacing when the front bumper made contact with the street.

I like yellow, but not necessarily on this car - it needs to be silver by my tastes.

The question is which co. will be the first with an $8,000 "Carrera GT" body kit for a Boxster.

Here are some pics of the 9ff roof for the CGT. I think it looks a little better than the factory effort.

I looked over a silver Carrera GT very closely for around half an hour yesterday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed here in the UK. I asked the Porsche guys to open the engine lid, stow the roof away, start the engine and generally show us around the car.

It is stunning in the flesh - much better than in the pictures. The detailing was superb, the engine sounded like an F1 car - lovely high pitched sound. A real work of art. It looked much much better than the two Ferrari Enzos that were parked near it - & much better to me than the GT1 parked near it too, not to mention the Murielagos in the same area.

One great dream car!

Pierre,
I have seen the CGT in person and I still think it looks like a super boxster.

No, it resembles a Toyota MR2 Spyder when it has the roof off.

When the roof is on, it's a 914 with weird fender flares.
