RJ - I had H&R springs only on my 01 TT and hated them!! the ride was too rough and the car sat too low!! Also, for the 10-12 hour labor charge (same for springs or coilovers) it just makes more sense to do coilovers IMO (springs are roughly $500 for parts, PSS-9 from Gert roughly $2,000).

Since I am in the picture posting mood this week, I thought you might like to see a comparison between my car and the car I have been modeling it after.

It appears the model car had its factory side skirts painted whereas I added Gemballa side skirts. If you look closely, you can see they are a little lower and fuller looking, particularly in the center of their length.

I am thinking of adding silver mesh (like in the rear wing) to the front grill and intercooler air exit openings. Opinions please...

Also, Gemballa has a 911-993 inspired hood (see Model car) with dropped and vented center section. I have considered this mod also. Opinions please....

BCS996TT - I would recommend Euro-Tire on 500 US Highway 46, Fairfield, NJ 07004 at (973) 575-9595. No affiliation, just where I got my PSS-9's installed. Great people to work with, very fast and prompt service, and also a great price. Good luck!

fftopic:
John (jcramair1),
I am considering attending a meet with 03C4S on July 26 that starts in Rye, NY at 4:30pm and ends in Danbury, CT at 5:30pm. Is this far from you? Can you make it down so I can see that beauty of yours?

HRS1,
What exhaust are you running? Those tips look HUGE!

All,
Please share your opinions for the two requests in my previous post about the mesh and hood. Also, what do you think of the newly added side stickers? I realize some people abhor stckers but I know Heinz will like them!

I believe those tips come standard with the tubi exhaust.

Yes - those tips are the Tubi tips (and reason I decided not to go with a Tubi - I am too in love with the X54 dual tips!!).
Ken - I love the Gemballa hood and am waiting to get it when I am done with engine mods and Techart front (a few months). I think it retails for like $2600!!

Mansoor,
I like it too but I am just a little concerned about the fitment. It seems the leading edge never fits right against the bumper cover in every pic I have seen. Look at the left front edge of this one:

Conversely, my tail, side skirts and front spoiler fit absolutely perfectly.

KPV - I think you should definitely get the mesh insert from Gemballa for the front bumper....If you even wanna make it hotter, paint the mesh along with the mesh in the wing openings in silver (like the GTR 650!!). Even if you keep the mesh black it looks better than the stock grills!!
I actually spoke to Heinz yesterday as I am interested in the Gemballa sport iair inlet pipes and headers...

After looking at your model's hood and grill, Ken, I like yours better in both areas...

(geez - that sounds weird - I'm talking about the model 'car' guys...)

Msindi,
I was thinking of experimenting with paint on another set of the factory grilles. It would definitely be different! If I do go the mesh route, it will undoubtedly be silver.

Scott,
Hmmmm. I really prefer the look of the 993 type hood with the vent. If it weren't for the perceived misfit up front, I would probably go for it. With a large panel like that, bodywork to fix it may not be possible. Nonetheless, where would the vents connect?

Thanks Tech-Law.
I didn't think anyone paid attention to that. I actually just added to it slightly.
You should take a drive down to our meet this Sunday. See the post referencing New Hope.

I don't know, it seems like the angle that the shot was taken at affects the lines of the hood. Do you have a shot taken straight on? Or better yet, have you seen one in person?
