Water/Alcohol Injection
I was talking with Alex (Hues1)about nitro system use on turbo charged engines and he brought up the idea of using water/alcohol injection instead. It cools combustion temps and lower temps mean higher horsepower/torque. Seems to make sense. It could be a good way to salvage power lost to high temperatures. What do you think? Have any of you tried this type of system on any of your cars? There is a website that you can go to for more information (www.activeautowerke.com). They are using these systems on BMW's but if it works for them, it might work on a turbo charged Porsche engine as well.

It seems to be very efficient. I am working on a custom system for my 951 right now. Detonation and heat are the reason for burnt egines - and with water and raised boost, It looks like I can stay around 10.5 to 1. I am turning it on with a pressure sensor at the manifold which turns on a windshield washer pump. Porsche doesn't use this seemingly easy money because it will freeze in winter (low alcohol) and just plain run out. In either of the aforementioned, you get severe detonation, or worse.
