This might be a repeat - I just wanted to know what Tubi owners think of their exhausts..
Anyone dynoed it??
Also, any Tubi owners had a chance to compare with a Europipe Stage 2 loud??
It has been 2 months and I still can not decide what exhaust to get!!

Hello msindi,
I am trying to make the same decision only with the Ruf system thrown in as well. Although the next best solution to being there, I find the available sound bites difficult to assess. I am surprised that your question has not received any responses and wonder if there rerally are no Tubi systems out there in forum land.
Local lore here has it that the Tubi is anything but subtle without being obnoxious, but that is fairly subjective data to base a $4000 decision on.
Have you given the Ruf system any thought ?

Thought about 9ff?
Expensive but supposedly well worth it I hear.

I do not want to spend more than $4500 on an exhaust (less would be nicer) so RUF nad 9ff are out of the question.
The choices boil down to Fanspeed (many complain about resonance although I love the modular design which allows straight pipes with cats), Tubi (hate the tips, sound is not as loud as I like), EP stage 2 loud (gotta hear it in person).
Someone also suggested that I jsut run straight pipes with no cats (flame throwing guaranteed) or get a custom made exhaust...Anyone know anything about these last two options??

CJV,
Thanks for addressing my question. For now, my primary interest in an aftermarket exhaust is sound quality, but a few extra horses thrown into the mix would be a most welcome plus. Is there any reason to suspect that the Tubi might actually degrade the power output as has been suggested by a local source? Also are there significant compatibility issues between the various tuning options (ECUs and such) that I may well(OK, probably will) look for in the future and the available exhaust systems given that Tubi, Ruf and Europipe make up my current list?
Thanks again,
DAB

Has anyone here ever dynoed a Tubi before making claims that it gives no HP??
Also, Tubi redesigned their exhaust (internals) due to many complaints and so the new 2003 Tubi for the TTs are different than the 2002s.
