oh well excuse me Mr. TT for posting on a Porsche forum when I actually own one. Oh yeah, and I am a paying Rennlist member as well like most decent folks here. Putz.

My point was that I personally find it strange to find a conversation about getting flames to shoot out of the exhaust on this forum when you presumably have to be over 18 let alone 7 years of age to post. I am not trying to flame 'msindi', but is this question for real? I mean if I asked whether it would be possible to mount Gatling guns behind my foglights would I actually get some replies other than 'f**k off and get real'? Maybe I would. Perhaps it is worth trying then? Surely there has to be a limit?

Hey Christer, do you have an imagination?? I dont truly believe that MSINDI was going to drill holes in his multiple thousand dollar exhaust and stick spark plugs in it. I think he was only trying to provoke some intelligent conversation on the age old tradition of "shooting flames" It is troubling that you would throw out the possibility just because YOU think it is stupid. I thought these forums were a plce to throw around ideas, weather or not they are intellgent, safe, stupid, impossible or even as crazy as throwing flames.... Grow up man.

Thanks anonymous for your opinion. It is funny though that you have totally flamed me for doing exactly what you are now doing to me. Great stuff, I knew someone would come 'down' to my level.

Personally I don't think there could be an intelligent conversation about getting one's car to shoot flames. Not outside drag racing anyway.

You haven't answered my question regarding the gatling gun behind the fog lights. Do you think it could be done? Do ya? Do ya?

How about you supply a name and pay for membership? Then I'll 'grow up'.

Apologies Mr. Soontobe993TTetcetcetc for calling you a putz. That was mean and I retract fully. I guess I was feeling emotional. Buy a membership though eh?

As said by Christer "It is funny though that you have totally flamed me for doing exactly what you are now doing to me". Can you please explain the correlation between what I said and what you said. Quite confusing to me and anyone else who reads this post. Also please explain what you mean by anonymous?? Just don't understand why this is suck a "stupid" thing to discuss. I guess the other 30 people or so who replied are "putz's" too. Thanks.. Epsteiner

I just posed the question because I wanted to know waht are the fundamentals underlying this concept. How did Gemballa do it?? It is not a childish question but an interesting one...

Anonymous means: Having an unknown or unacknowledged name.

There is nothing confusing about my other point (about flaming), I cannot make it any simpler than already stated. Your suggestion that other posters here are as thick as you is quite amusing but a highly transparent ploy - I never called them putzi - you did.

Anyway, I am sure other people are bored to tears with having to read our personal attacks on each other. So let's stop as soon as you tell me whether a Gatling gun can be mounted behind the fog lights. Why are you ignoring my question? Why is this such a stupid thing to discuss?

Depending on how your exhaust system is set up (modular or not), you can just swap in straight pipes by having a muffler shop (or someone else that is good with that type of thing) make you some that bolt straight up and eliminate your cats and mufflers. A good exhaust shop can make equipment to your specs. However, keep in mind that many exhaust shops won't make straight pipes that avoid cats per emission requirement legalities and EPA issues. You sorta need to have someone 'inside' that will do it under the table for you. I am sure that there are Porsche tuners/shops that do this as well. There are probably 'kits' that are classified as 'race track only' that might be what you are looking for. You get the idea.

Eliminating your catalytic converters (great for turbos) is a big no no in the 'save the Earth' new world. Thus, doing so has to be kept on the downlow in most respects.

Hope this helps.

"Anyway, I am sure other people are bored to tears with having to read our personal attacks on each other." ~ Christer.

Just to clarify - It looks like it's more than one personal attach you need to keep track of...

*Christer essentially calls MSINDI dumb for posting the question.
*Soon2be993Y defends, and immediately gets attached by Christer for having the gaul to be on the board before owning a Porsche.
*24 ME defends and is immediately attacked by Chester.
* Chester continues to attack 24 ME on the Gatling gun issue forgetting that it was actually soon2beTT that he asked the question of...

And looking into the future - Chester will undoubtedly attach me as well!

Chester - if you enjoy a little confrontation, then enjoy - And I'm being serious, some people really get a kick out of that sort of stuff in bulletin boards, so to each thier own - it's better than picking "real" fights with the guy on the street that doesn't fold his newspaper the right way you approve of I guess. But if these sorts of topics really bother you, it's really easy to avoid the thread all together by just looking at the subject line.

And to the people actually participating in the "real" thread - sorry for the intrusion but this is seemingly happening more and more on rennlist lately... I enjoyed reading your comments - This may not be a thing I'd ever do to my cars now, but I was curious as well after seeming the trailers for some of this summer's car movies.

Who is Chester, Scatt7?

Basically, the vast majority of my posts have not been flaming comments or 'attachs' since I became a member in 2001. I ¨just think we all come across threads sometimes that seem so totally flipped-out that you wonder if the guy is taking the pi** by asking the question in the first place.

The vast majority of the time I ignore but we cannot all be perfect like you. ;

Oh and happy motoring (with or without flames).

My 951S was shooting flames for a while. It was because my BOV had a leaky diaphragm and I was venting some of my metered air during upshifts. I would get these woofs and bangs out the tail pipe when the turbo got hot enough to sufficiently heat the fuel coming out the back and as soon as it hit the 02... POW. Since my new BOV was installed my fire has diminished significantly.

You guys should check out the amount of fire the Australian V8 supercars put out

Christer... you don't have to read every thread, if you aren't interested, just move along.

Hey Christer, if you are such a "high profile" guy (which owning a 1990 964 c-2 you must be) then installing gatling guns behind your fog lights is a definte possibility. I am sure it has been done before by some wild crazy person like you, so I am sure you would just be another follower not an innovator. I guess you must be worried about all the people you flame anonymously on web forums since your screenname Christer provides such valuable information about you, so you must always be looking over your shoulder. Anyways, this is stupid so I am done. WHy can't people openly share thoughts (which to most of us are quite interesting)on these forums without idiots like you, who always turn a topic into a stupid flame war???? Msindi, if you put the straight pipes on and it works maybe you can have a bad *** car like the Gemballa 750 GTR bi-turbo....
